Arena's Dowdy Rags
This is the best group shot I could come up with of the four slavegirls from the Roger Corman flick "Arena." The dowdy rags you see before you are what the actresses wear throughout most of the movie. Now, could someone please explain to me why the FUCK the director of the movie hired four beauties -- two of them former Playboy Playmates -- and dressed them in these shapeless sacks that conceal their bodies from neck to knee. Don't say it's authenticity, the movie is about as inauthentic as they come. Hell, in their auction scene you can't see any of their bodies below the shoulders because of all the guys standing around them (they aren't on a block or anything of THAT nature). I'm sorry, this is just visually retarded filmmaking. If there were ever footsteps not to be followed in, these are them.
This rates about a 1 on our hottitude of servitude index. There's a little leg showing on the gal in the red, but it's not enough to call her "skimpily dressed." No bondage. No real fun to this movie, as my review shall demonstrate. I wish I could give it a 0, but my scale doesn't go lower than 1.
