This Japanese adult anime features a slavegirl auction scene that is done about as well as an adult anime can be done, and that is very well indeed.
The scene starts with the auctioneer displaying a clothed woman in chains to an interested crowd of bidders. She is suspended by her wrists and there is a second set of chains extending down which is cut off by the bottom of the frame, and she's blushing in embarrassment. This being a hentai, the woman's dress doesn't last long. In a second she's stark naked, and even more deeply embarrassed. Maybe some shame in there, too -- Japan seems to still have that cultural thing going on, at some level, that the victim of a sexual assault, etc., should feel ashamed, instead of the perpetrator. However, this is based on hentai, and they aren't really a good guide to normal Japanese culture, thank God.
The woman isn't wearing any barbaric ornamentation, perhaps because this is just not Viper GTS quality animation. However, the action more than makes up for the lack of ornamentation. The second set of chains, it turns out, are connected to the slavegirl just above her knees, and shortly they are hoisted up, forcing her legs up and apart, giving all the guys in the audience an excellent view of her crotch, much to her embarrassment.

Now she's really, really, really embarassed.
The auctioneer sees why she's embarrassed and announces to the bidders that she is so excited at being sexually displayed that she has become wet. He demonstrates the truth of his words by easily sliding his forefinger and middle finger into her pussy and finger-fucking her a bit, while she writhes in helpless sexual embarassment in the chains, to the delight of the bidders. Then the bidding starts in earnest, but is interrupted by the story's wet blanket of a hero, who's against slavery.

The point is -- THIS is how to display a slave girl. After all of the incredibly lame slave girl auction scenes I've seen, especially the ones from the 1950s, this is like a long, cool drink of water. THIS is how you handle a slavegirl auction scene -- naked, chained at wrists and feet, forced to spread her legs wide, and molested. An easy 22 on the hottitude scale, as it should be. Could it have been better? Of course. She could have been gagged.
