What you want to do in a SAS flick is show off the slavegirls in such a way as to emphasize their beauty and slavishness, thus cranking up the hottitude of your film. There are a whole range of options here, from the mild (to be avoided) to the wild (to be sought, where appropriate).

3) Have a skimpily clad person wearing a collar standing around or doing a chore

6) Have a naked person standing around or doing a chore identified as a slave
7) Have a naked person wearing a collar standing around or doing a chore
8) Have a naked person wearing wrist cuffs, ankle cuffs and a collar standing around or doing a chore
9) Have a naked person wearing wrist cuffs, ankle cuffs, a collar and a gag standing around or doing a chore
10) Have a fully dressed person chained or tied down in some mundane way -- hands in front, to a post, etc.

OK, this is very much a rough list and it's problematical in many respects. Some definitions of "skimpy" are not that far from fully clothed, whereas the one I set forth earlier in the article that involved a Wicked Weasel thong isn't far from naked.
Obviously, people's response to various kinds of bondage gear and sexual activity or lack of it can also vary greatly. I have created this chart with vanilla viewers in mind, whose reaction to bondage gear relates more to what it says about the slavegirl's sexual vulnerability and availability than to specific bondage practices.
I think for such people nudity is much more powerful visually than bondage gear, which is why nudity always trumps scantily clad or fully clothed scenes. I do think increasingly powerful bondage imagery ramps up the hottitude even for vanilla folks, if only because it makes dramatically obvious how sexually vulnerable the slave is.
Sex itself trumps all for vanilla folks, and does so for many (though not all) bondage fans as well, so it ranks highest on my chart.
The slavegirl hottitude ranking isn't meant to be an absolute delimiter for hottitude in slavegirl scenes, just a rough guide that focusses on the visual and excludes many factors, such as the length of the scene and the quality of the acting that goes into it (which probably counts for more than anything else in terms of a scene's dramatic impact) as well as the quality of the story the scene is part of which is also very important. But if you're doing a movie or TV show with slavegirls in it, you should think about the options listed in this chart and set up your slavegirl scenes according to the desired level of hotness. Just going with some interpretation of historical reality (togas) or thoughtlessly making slavegirls look poor (dowdy rags) is a kind of failure.
