When Good Bondage Happens To Bad Movies

Blindfolded and gagged princesses duel to the death while their subjects, wearing yokes, look on.

Every so often, you come across a great scene in a crappy movie. Probably the ultimate in this respect is the movie "Lowball," which is basically a bucket of slime, but contains a series of great bondage scenes involving bondage babe Amber Smith.

The movie "Tor the Mighty Hunter" (aka "Tor" aka "Taur The Mighty Hunter") isn't nearly offensive as "Lowball," it's just one of those pitifully inept Italian sword and sandal epics from the 1960s (peplum) which contains a brilliant scene. Two princess sisters are forced to fight each other to the death by evil oppressors. They don't know they're fighting each other because they are blindfolded and gagged. This also greatly reduces their effectiveness as combatants, but it's clear nobody much cares as long as SOMEONE gets killed.

Standing behind the dueling princesses are their loyal subjects, who are neither blindfolded nor gagged, but do wear wooden yokes on their shoulders, to which their wrists and presumably their necks are secured.

Let's take a closeup look here ...
somebody REALLY put some thought into how this should look.

All and all, a spectacular bondage scene, but what REALLY puts it over the top is the details -- in this case, the blindfolds and gags the princesses wear. They aren't the simple tools of bondage you see in most mainstream films. The blindfolds have logos on them, presumably that of the oppressors. And the gags are not simple things, they're complex constructions that also have logos on them.

The subtle implications here are so nicely Gorean. They say, this is a culture where blindfolds and gags are common enough to be made with care and attention, and a certain amount of pride.

Somebody smart and capable was working on that Italian pile of cheese, but their light was buried under a bushel of the usual bad movie stuff. Only DiD fans have recognized it. So you're unlikely to see the scene unless you come across it in a lucky video store find, or some obscure cable channel airs it out of desperation or because it goes with some theme programming of theirs.

Catch it if you can.
